Northville, MI Newborn Photographer | A New Record

This sweet baby girl holds the record for easiest newborn ever photographed! She literally slept and didn't make a peep throughout her entire session. I was able to get every shot I wanted in under an hour which is unheard of in newborn photography! And look at her gorgeous hair and those lips! Amazing.

Northville, MI Family Photographer | Extended Family Love

So now that I'm caught up on all my editing and orders it's time to tackle the enormous backlog of blogging! Here's a session from September before the leaves had changed, still looks like summer! I love when big families come together for a photo session. Yes, it's crazy chaotic, but I think that's part of the fun :) This family did an awesome job planning their clothes - not too matchy matchy, but still coordinating. The little touches make a big difference - statement jewelry, boots, fur, headbands - love it!

Northville, MI Baby Photographer | One Already!

It seems impossible that it's already been a year since I photographed Jonah as a brand new baby, but here he is one year later! I love that we did both sessions in their home and they can compare his newborn photos to his one year photos on the same couch! I also love that my clients become my friends and we can spend 30 minutes just chatting after photos are over :) I'm looking forward to continuing watching you grow Jonah! Plymouth, MI Family Photographer | Big Sister 2014 Edition

I first had the pleasure of meeting this little family last fall when their youngest was only a few months old, (click here to see) and it was so fun to see how both girls have grown in the last year. I love how their style! Last year I went out and bought my daughter the outfits they were wearing and I forgot to ask where this year's outfits were from, but I totally want to copy those as well ;) Aren't they adorable?! We had two peak color weekends this fall and this was one of them. I'm still about 50 sessions behind on blogging, but this colder weather is giving me a chance to finally catch up!

Northville, MI Maternity Photographer | Ice Cream

I have so many amazing images from the last few months that I'm dying to share, but I've been so busy shooting I haven't had a chance to blog! Plus around this time of year everyone is doing Christmas cards and I hate to ruin the surprise for anyone by sharing their images early! But here is a maternity session I'm in love with. Baby Jack has since arrived and we got some gorgeous newborn photos, but I always like to wait for birth announcements to go out before I share them. I was obsessing with every room in this beautiful couple's home :) And how fun would it be if every session could end with ice cream?!

Northville, MI Child Photographer | Our Fall Pictures

I finished two client galleries today so I rewarded myself by working on my own kids' photos tonight :) This was a spur of the moment photo shoot, but I love these shots! I had ordered my daughter's outfit online and thought it'd be perfect for some fall photos. I had a rare fall evening off and it was gorgeous out so to the park we went! I have to admit, there's really not much I love more than getting them dressed up (because trust me, they don't normally look like this, Felicity wore pajamas all day today!) finding a cool location, and taking their pictures. Thankfully they're both pretty good sports about it, I sure hope that continues!

Plymouth, MI Baby Photographer | Fall Is Here!

Fall is such a great season; I just wish it lasted longer. Especially since it's my busiest time of year and I've had to start turning down clients until spring, crazy! Blogging is usually the lowest on my priority list and I probably have at least 30 sessions to blog from this summer, but for now I'll start with this pretty fall day at the orchard last weekend with little Zoey who is turning one! I photographed her as a newborn and I'll always remember her as one of the easiest newborns I've had. Happy first birthday Zoey!
